Description
Carved from a single piece of limestone, this impressive nine-foot monolith marks the historical meeting point of three traditional English counties: Cumberland, Lancashire, and Westmorland. It was erected in 1860 to replace an older, fragmented marker, and was carefully restored in 1998 after being shattered into pieces in a motoring accident.
