Description
Unearthed during foundation work in the town in 1993, this massive glacial erratic of Hertfordshire puddingstone was relocated to Chesham's pedestrianized town center. It serves as a striking example of the region's unique Ice Age geology, where highly compressed flint river pebbles were fused into solid rock millions of years ago, then dragged across the landscape by glaciers.
