Description
A massive, diamond-shaped slab of Old Red Sandstone standing dramatically in the Brecon Beacons. Like many Welsh monoliths, it is deeply animated by local folklore. The prevailing legend insists that the stone comes alive whenever a cock crows on Midsummer's Eve, uprooting itself to slowly walk down into the valley and drink from the nearby River Nedd before returning to its post at dawn.
