Description
One of the largest monoliths ever quarried by humanity, this 1,000-ton limestone block rests in the ancient quarry of Baalbek. According to centuries-old local folklore, the stone is named after a pregnant woman who claimed she knew the secret to moving the giant block if the townspeople fed her until she gave birth. Other regional myths attribute its cutting to pregnant Jinn or claim that touching the stone grants fertility.
